Impromptu Photoshoot!!

Thank you BeBe...we love you!!!

A much better night!!

I guess the babies knew their Mommy needed some sleep last night!!! H.a.l.l.e.l.u.j.a.h!! They ate at 6:00, went to bed at 7:30 and slept until 1:00!!! That is 7 whole hours!! Then at 5:30 Cooper woke up again & I rocked him back to sleep & he slept another hour. I fed them again at 6:30 & then they slept until 8:00!!! I couldn't ask for more! I think the naps yesterday made the difference. In the past, they took a long morning/early afternoon nap & then small naps throughout the afternoon/evening. However, yesterday they took a nap from 10-1 and then a nap from 3:30-5:30. I am going to try to get them on a more nap time routine & see if that will help!! Thank you all again for all the input & advice on our sleeping situations!!! You are were very helpful!!!

Thank you & random pictures!

First of all, thank you all so much for your responses to my last post. You all gave some great advice & I appreciate all of your input!!

Just a few random pictures from the past week!! Enjoy!

On our way to a baby shower on Sunday

Look at that chub :)

Does it get easier??

This past week, I have been asking myself this question everyday. I thought it was supposed to get easier as they get older. The past couple of nights, one of them have woken up about every two hours just screaming. I have had to rock them back to sleep everytime. In the past they were sleeping 6-6 1/2 hours in between feedings...lately they are eating every 4 hours & it is getting really hard to feed both of them at once. They are both figuring out how to use those hands & are both pushing & pulling at the bottles and my hands. It's hard enough to feed one baby with one hand, but try holding the bottle & pinning their hands down too!! I may just have to start feeding one after the other! In the past, I have swaddled & rocked both babies to sleep at bedtime. Dr. Fred recently recommended to get them calm, but to put them down awake & let them go to sleep in their crib. He said this will help them go back to sleep with they wake up in the night. So we have been trying this at nighttime & they have done great! They are so tired at bedtime that they have been going right to sleep. I know I can't swaddle them forever though, so I have been trying to get them used to going to sleep on their backs without the swaddle. So at naptime this morning, I laid them in their cribs on their backs & I was going to let them just cry it out! After 15 minutes of both of them screaming bloody murder...I gave in. I put them on their tummies & they were out like a light...not a peep from them. Should I keep doing this everytime they go down??? Will they eventually fall asleep?? I need some advice on any of this!! When did it start getting better for your little one(s)???

A few pics from our walk tonight!

I got the babes ready for bed tonight & took a walk to see if they would get sleepy. It worked for one, but not the other...can you guess who went to sleep?? (Please excuse my blinding white legs....a suntan is desperately needed!! ;)
That's a no-brainer...
...sweet boy fast asleep...
...and look who is wide awake!!

Daddy & his baby girl after our walk!

4 Month Dr. Visit

We just returned from our 4 month doctors appointment...all is well! Dr. Fred was pleased with their growth & even commented on how huge they were!! We have tried giving the babies cereal twice this past week and I was kind of worried because neither baby is interested AT ALL. He said not to worry at all & not to push them. He said we will know when they are ready for it & since they are so big...they are obviously getting enough nutrients with just formula. Here are their 4 month stats:

Cooper Thomas:
weight - 15.5 lbs - 90%
height - 25 1/4 in - 90%
head - 16 1/2 in 70%

Hadley Owen:
weight - 14.1 lbs - 95%
height - 25 1/4 in - 95%
head - 16 in - 70%

And you know I can't post without a picture!! This was from Cooper's attempt at cereal last night!

Our First Time to Swing

After naptime today, I took the babies out to the backyard. Daddy recently put up their new swings & I wanted to try them out. I figured they might still be too small, but we tryed.

Miss Hadley LOVED it & sat there for about 30 minutes as happy as a lark!

Cooper liked it at first & then had enough. He sat there for about 5 minutes & then just laid his head down. He has been pretty fussy today & I think it is from his shots this morning.

He just wanted to be held!! Mommy is not complaining...♥!
Overall, I think they liked them! This summer when they get a little older, those swings will be a BIG hit!!
