Puddle Jumping

It rained pretty much all morning...the slow, steady kind of rain. We have had our windows open with a breeze blowing through the house and listening to the rain! I love days like this! We even ate breakfast out on the back porch earlier and then decided to go out in search of some puddles! I am always telling C&H not to step in the puddle or the mud, so they weren't quite sure what to think at first!

As you can see, Miss Hadley was kind of excited to find some 'poodles'!

We found a good mud puddle and I told C&H they could walk in it...they both put one foot in to test it out!
Photobucket
REALLY?? Mom...we can walk in this?? You mean we won't get in trouble??
Photobucket
Then there was no stopping them!! They had a blast!

Hadley kept saying 'Yeah Sissy' everytime she would walk through it! Precious!

And then Cooper decided to get his hands in the mud too! All boy, I tell ya!
Photobucket
H must have thought it looked fun too...UNTIL she got her hands dirty...and started demanding a wipie!

Before we went in for a shower, I let them wade across the shallow part of our creek! They loved it!

I ❤ making memories like these with our babies! I am sure next time they see a puddle they will be diving in and I may regret letting them have fun today, but it's all worth it!

Fun with Daddy!

Michael has been gone on a fishing trip all week. On Sunday before he left, we had a lazy day at home just spending time with him. During naptime, he sat on the back porch redoing the line on his poles and when C&H woke up we joined him. He gave them each a plastic worm and they had so much fun with them! Daddy would put the worm down their shirts and they thought it was so funny!

Shower Fun

Everyday when bathtime rolls around, C&H beg to take a shower in Mommy & Daddy's room and they would stay in there for hours if we would let them! They love it! I thought these pictures were precious! They love to catch the water in their mouths and play with shaving cream!!

Matching Gowns

I saw this matching gown set yesterday and just HAD to get it for Hadley! I knew she would LOVE it since she would match her baby doll! I wish you could have seen her excitement! Afterall, she is 'totally sweet' and totally worth it!! I mean look at my happy girl!

Cooper thought it was his turn to have his picture taken after his sister...it was too cute not to show you all! LOVE that cheesy grin (busted lip and all)!!

Typical

I cracked up when I snapped this picture! C&H love to find these and blow them...however, Hadley really need to work on her blowing skills. She blows up instead of out, therefore, she has a hard time blowing them. I asked her to let Cooper try and blow it since she couldn't and this is the reaction I got. This is a typical scenario in our daily lives...I love C's expression and H's arms crossed!

Say What? Wednesday

I am starting a new Say What? series since Cooper & Hadley are constantly saying cute and funny stuff these days and I want to document them all! I have been jotting them down for a while and here are some of their funnies:

  1. The other day I had to slam on my brakes and grimaced as I watched the car behind me in my rear view mirror to make sure they were stopping. I heard Hadley in the back seat yell, "Whoa Mama, be careful!!"
  2. The week before Easter, I took them to see the Easter Bunny one day. On the way to the mall, we were talking about him and how if they wouldn't cry he would give them a sucker, etc. They then started saying we were going to see 'HoHo' (that's what they call Santa)...and then I heard Hadley say, "It's snowing outside"...I think she was a little confused and associates HoHo with snow!
  3. When Cooper wants me to hold him he has been saying "hold you me". He has gotten really good at using please and thank you and has now started saying, "hold you me please"! Sweet boy!
  4. C&H both are doing very good on their counting. Lately though, they seem to get in a hurry, especially Hadley. The past couple of days, everytime I ask her "how many of this or that", she replies with 1-2-3-7-9...every single time! I have to stop her and make her count it slowly and she does it right...silly girl!
  5. Hadley has just started saying 'K, Mom' as a response to anything I ask her to do...it's hilarious! For instance, if I ask her to put something away, or bring me something, she says, 'K, Mom' and does it! When did she grow up??
  6. Every morning when I go in to get them out of bed, I ask if they had sweet dreams and ask them what they dreamed about. For the longest time, Hadley's response was ALWAYS "barbie dolls, kitty cats, and baby dolls" and then she would answer for Cooper too "Cooper dreamed about trucks and tractors". Cooper would never really answer me until this past week, when he told me he dreamed about his Pogee. It just melted my heart! The next day, Hadley's response changed also....that night she dreamed about "pink Charlie (our dog), green Gracie (Nana's dog) and yellow Max (Pogee's dog)"! This girl is gonna have a huge imagination!

Our Family On Easter

We recently received two pictures that we had taken on Easter Sunday at church! I just adore these pictures...if we could just get them both to smile in the same picture! ;)

Ladybugs

Cooper and Hadley recently discovered a ladybug in the yard and had fun letting it crawl up their arms! It was precious...H was even dreaming about ladybugs when I went into check on her that night! It was too funny!

Fun Day at the Park!

I have been trying to get back into the routine of exercising daily. With Cooper & Hadley, I have to change up our location daily so that they don't get bored so easily...one day we will walk at home and the next we will go to the park or to Nana's neighborhood...you get the point! One day last week, we went to Creekmore park to run. Once we got out of the car, C&H immediately spotted the playground, but were great to let me get my run in before we stopped to play. They contently ate their breakfast while I ran and then they got to run around and play while I cooled off! It worked great for all of us! ;)

Right when I was about to load them up to head to the car, I noticed the 'choo-choo' train getting ready to run! I had no idea it ran during the week and it was a pleasant surprise for all of us! Cooper and Hadley were so excited! It was a perfect end to our fun morning at the park!!!Photobucket
