Lazy Days!

As C&H get older, I cherish our lazy days much more! We have been having them much more often lately because of the cold weather outside! I just love this picture that Michael snapped of us snuggling under a blanket watching TV!

Daddy's snuggles!

Every night after bath time, I dry one child off and tell them to go to their room to get their diaper & PJs on while I get the other out of the bath! I get the other dried off and tell them the same thing while I get the bathtub cleaned up. Instead of going to their room and waiting on me, they climb up in their Daddy's lap and watch TV for a second...naked booties and all! I had been wanting to get a picture of it, so I had my camera ready this particular night...C stayed like this while Daddy rocked him while I got H dressed in her PJs. He will probably kill me someday for posting this, but it's those special moments like this that I want to remember ALWAYS!

Outdoors before the snow!

A couple of days ago when I heard snow and temps in the 20s would soon be here to stay for a while, I got C&H out to play in the yard before the snow. Even though it was a little chilly, we all had a good time and are now stuck indoors with the cold & wet weather outside...yuck! We didn't get enough snow to go out & 'play' in it...so we have just enjoyed from the window! I am so ready for Spring already!

I must apologize again for my lack of blogging...I seem to get behind and it's just hard to get caught back up! With the holidays, trying to recuperate, and spending all my spare time on my Christmas present (more on that later!) have made me put blogging on the back burner...excuses, excuses, I know! I've just got to find time to blog, so here are some random recent pictures!

I just have to share this picture with all of you that I took yesterday! Hadley slept till 8:30 yesterday morning which is later than usual, so when naptime rolled around, she wasn't wanting to nap! She stayed in her crib for an hour before she started fussing, but never went to sleep! I decided to just get her up and let her 'rest' on the couch...I assumed this would last about 10 minutes, but boy was I wrong! She didn't move a muscle for over an hour! Is this not the sweetest picture???

One of C&H's favorite things to do at Nana & Daddo's house is to jump on their bed! Over Christmas when all the kids were together, that is all they seemed to do! They had so much fun! These pics speak for themselves!

Sibling Dinner!

While my family was in town for Christmas, my brother, sister, & I and our spouses had the opportunity to all go out to dinner! I can't tell you the last time we have been able to do this together! It was so nice to have adult conversations with them over dinner! The boys didn't want their picture taken and I am so mad that we didn't get a group picture, but here are two of us girls! We must make this a Christmas tradition! I love you guys!

Christmas Day 2010

Between 10 and 11 that morning after playing with all their goodies from Santa, we got ready and headed to Meme & Sweet Pa's house to celebrate with them!

We took a few pics with Daddy & Mommy before we left!

When we got to Meme & Sweet Pa's we discovered that Santa had been there too! C&H squealed when they came in and saw all the toys! All I heard was 'open, open, open' and we opened box after box of toys! Why do they have to secure those things like they do???

We were so blessed this holiday season! We are so lucky to have our families so close and to be able to celebrate with all of them! We can't wait for next year!

Christmas Morning 2010

Christmas Day we always celebrate with Michael's side of the family. In the past, we have gotten up early and gone and had breakfast with them, but since C&H are getting old enough to get the whole 'Santa brings toys' idea we decided to skip breakfast and let them play and enjoy for a while at home! It was really nice to have a relaxed morning and to see their excitement as they walked in to see what Santa had brought them! Michael and I got up around 6 so we could get a few things done before they got up which is usually around 7-7:30. Of course on the morning that we are anticipating their awakening, they sleep till 8 or later! We heard H moving around at 8 so we decided just to wake C up too!

And C didn't want to get up at all....this boy does not like to be woke up!

Cooper went straight for his 'choo-choo' and never looked at another toy for several hours! He is officially obsessed with trains!

H was a little more reserved when it came to her presents! She just stood there looking at everything for a while!

And then she gave Daddy a big hug! She is so precious!
