17 Months Old

Our babies are 17 months old today...sniff, sniff!! They are getting so big and picking up things ALL THE TIME! As much as I don't want them to grow up, I am loving them getting older and the new things that arise daily!

Mother's Day Weekend 2010

Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs...since the payment is pure love. ~Mildred B. Vermont Mother's Day...growing up, I remember showering my Mom with presents and making her feel special on her special day. As I got married and started trying to have a family, I grew to despise Mother's Day. It was always just a reminder of how badly I wanted to be a Mommy...but couldn't. However, over the past few years, it is becoming one of my favorite holidays. In 2008, we shared the news with our families that we were expecting after such a long journey...it was amazing! In 2009, I celebrated my two sweet 4 month old babies....I had never felt so special in my life that God had picked me to be Cooper & Hadley's Mommy. This year was no different...Mother's Day has become a special place in my heart. It is now a reminder of unconditional love like I never had imagined. I never knew with kind of love existed! I prayed yesterday for all the women out there who dread Mother's Day like I used to. I prayed that they would have peace in their hearts and hope that they one day will be able to celebrate as a Mother! I also prayed for those who had lost there Mother! I am so fortunate to be able to celebrate my Mom, my Mother-in-Law, & two grandmothers. I am so lucky to have a Mom of my own who loves my unconditionally and would stop what she is doing at any second to help me with anything! Thanks Mom for being such a wonderful friend and Mother! I love you! On Saturday night, my sister and her family had us over for a picnic. The weather was perfect & we sat on blankets and ate fried chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and brownies! The babies had a blast...we will definitely have to do that again! On Sunday, my brother and his family surprised my Mom by coming to visit! It was so good to see them! We enjoyed a nice lunch made by all the guys...it was yummo! Thanks guys! Cooper & Hadley, Thank you for making my dreams of becoming a Mommy come true! You make me a better person and have changed me forever! You are true blessings from above!

IC Spring Carnival 2010

Last night, MoMo, Josh, & Braxton invited us to go the IC Spring Carnival with them! We had so much fun! Thanks for inviting us guys!

Cooper sat in the stroller the entire time and never made a peep! He was an ANGEL!!! He was content munching on a hot dog all night and checking out all the people!!!

Hadley, on the otherhand, wanted down to run the entire time! She wore me out...she didn't want in the stroller, didn't want to be carried, and didn't want to hold anyone's hand. She wanted to run free! At one point, we were watching Braxton slide on this big blowup slide and she threw a fit to slide. This high school girl who was working volunteered to take her up to slide! She LOVED it! She went down 3 times & was not a happy camper when it was time to go! (sorry this is sideways!!!)

We got home right around their bedtime, but they were so wound up that we decided to just let them play in the yard and in the barn for a while! They slept in about an hour later this morning...it was great!

Morning time is my Favorite Time!

One of my favorite times of the day is right when C&H wake up in the mornings. They are always so happy to see us in the mornings!! I love how it takes them a while to 'wake up'! I love how they want their milk immediately after we come in their room to get them. (Hadley is usually signing for milk when we walk in!!)

I love how they will sit still & watch their cartoons with out moving a muscle!I love how they are so into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and just light up when it comes on!

I love how they just want to snuggle in Mommy's arms!

I just love morning time!!!

Instead of crawling out of bed once I hear the babies stirring (like I do most mornings), I was up at 6:00, went for a run, and had already showered by the time C&H woke up! I really enjoyed it and enjoyed my morning time with C&H much more since I, myself, wasn't 'still asleep'! I think I'll do this again!

Wordless Wednesday-Someone doesn't like to go barefoot in the grass!!!

He tip-toed all the way to the driveway as fast as he could! Cute little thing!!!

...two years ago today...two sweet little babies were implanted into my uterus! What a glorious day that was! Thank you LORD!!!

Squeals of JOY!

This has been what we hear in our home lately! Man, how I love those squeals! Michael and I were cooking dinner the other night & were laughing so hard at them...I had to stop & go video them! I want to remember these times...since they are passing so fast! :(
