This past Saturday we celebrated Cooper & Hadley's upcoming 2nd birthday! With their birthdays so close to Christmas, with the arrival of their new cousin in a week or two, and with all our relatives in town for Thanksgiving, it just made sense to celebrate a few weeks early! I had planned an outdoor cowboy/cowgirl party, but Mother Nature had other plans & sent a cold front on Thanksgiving, so we moved things inside! It all worked out & fun was had by all!
These first 4 pictures were taken several weeks ago in an attempt to get a cute picture for their invitations!
And here is the final invitation! Isn't it the cutest??? Many thanks for my sister for the precious idea and for putting together this adorable invitation for me!!!
And here are a few of the decorations! Since the weather changed my plans, I just threw together some bandanas and raffia and it looks so cute!
Our little cowboy!
We're still working on holding up 2 fingers when asked how old he is!
Miss Hadley was a little scared when I put the lighted candles in front of her! Daddy came to her rescue....
...and big brother generously blew out her candles for her! He was all into it!
But she didn't hesitate to dig in!!
Neither did Cooper!!! Surprise, surprise!!!
Time to open presents!! They LOVED it! I am anxious to see them at Christmas...they're gonna have so much fun this year!
Here is an easel that Nana & Daddo got them! They LOVE it!
Our sweet Grandmothers...I am so thankful that they were able to celebrate with us! Pogee had just got out of the hospital on Thanksgiving...SO glad she is feeling better!
Our sweet family...Can you tell H is so tired?? Having fun at your birthday party is hard work!!
After cake & presents, we decided to go outside & check out what Meme & Sweet Pa got them...these cute little motorized four-wheelers! They hopped right on and took off! It's crazy how they knew which one was theirs! Hadley is not kind of scared of hers, but come this spring when she can ride it all the time I think she will LOVE it! Cooper amazed us how he could steer and drive his! It's like he had driven something before! He is all-boy and I see many more four-wheelers in his future!!
The rest of the time we played outside! It actually turned out to be a pretty nice day...just a little chill in the air! Here are C&H with Daddy & Uncle Travis...
...and with Meme and Grandmother!
...and playing with Gigi!
This photo cracks me up! It pretty much sums up everyday for me! Hadley taking something from Cooper and him screaming 'SISSY'!!!...or vice versa!!!
I feel like such a horrible mother...I didn't get us singing 'happy birthday' to them on video! I guess I still have their real birthday...stay tuned!
