24 week belly pictures!!!

MB was kind enough tonight to take my 24 week belly pics!! Thanks sis...it's great having such an awesome photographer in the family! We decided to wait until next month to do some different pregnancy shots! I can't wait!!

Baby Boy's carseat!!!

Look what we got today!!! We love it! It is lime green & olive green with yellow piping!! Oh so cute!!!

And here are both of them together!! I can't wait to have two tiny babies coming home in these!!!!

24 weeks

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

What a fun day!!

Michael went to South Arkansas this weekend to get the deer woods ready for deer season & my dad was working today, so my mom & I decided to have a fun day together. We started off with some cooking this morning...you are probably thinking 'well that's no fun', but we have both been wanting to try this place out. It is called:

This place was so cool! They have monthly menus that you get to pick from. You can pick 6, 8, 10, or how ever many meals you want to make. You have to let them know ahead of time which meals you want & they provide all the ingredients & have it set out at each station with directions on how to prepare each meal. You prepare it, package it, & take it home & freeze it. I have been wanting to try this place out to have some dinners already prepared for if & when I have to go on bed rest or for when the babies get here!!! My mom & I really enjoyed our morning preparing 6 meals each in 1 hour. Can you imagine the time it saved us going grocery shopping, preparing for the meal, & the clean up time??? I think we will be going back when their October menu comes out!! Here is the link for anyone interested... http://www.dinnerwithtlc.com/

We ran home put our food in the freezer, met for lunch at Panera Bread, & then met my sister at the movies! I haven't been to the movies in such a long time, but have been waiting for this movie to come out!!! The Nights in Rodanthe....with Dianne Lane & Richard Gere!! Great movie...you all have got to so see it!!

I am trying to take total advantage of days like today! In the very near future, I won't be able to go & do as I please all day long....but oh, it will be so worth it! I am so anxious to get these little babies here & hold them. Next weekend is my big baby shower & I can't wait to see everyone & show off how much these babies have grown!

22 weeks

I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going! I am 22 weeks today & even though it is getting harder get up & I am moving a little slower, overall, I am feeling pretty good. My back has been hurting me this weekend, but I think it is because I have been the energizer bunny & have been going & going & going!!! I took a day of vacation from work on Friday & went a couple of place in town (Blessed Baby, Now & Then Shoppe, & Babies 'R' Us) to get registered. My sister went with me to help & we had so much fun!! She was such a big help...I couldn't have done it without her!! Thanks MB! In mid-October, Target is opening in Fort Smith & I wanted to be registered there by the time it opened. So on Saturday, Mika Beth, Addison, & I headed to Fayetteville to register at their Target. It was pretty much a wasted trip! We got up there & found out that their registry was down for 4-6 hours. Just my luck right?!? So I had to go online once I got home to register (which I could have done in the first place) but it would have been so much more fun in the store. We had a great lunch with my friend Annie & made it back just in time for the aftermath of Hurricane Ike to hit our area!!

I also made a few purchases this weekend too! I am so excited! We ordered this stroller...
In this color brown...I love it!!!

And these Maxi Cosi car seats....

aren't they cute???

It feels great to be making some final decisions of things now that I know what we are having! I think we have finalized our cribs & bedding too, but I will save that for another post later! I will close with a 22 week picture. Sorry for the poor quality pic, but you get the idea!!!

and PINK!!!

Yes, we are having a little boy & a little girl!!! We are so excited! I can finally start shopping & registering for these babies!! How much fun!!! Babies are growing great & developing correctly! They are in the 70% on growth rate. My dr. said if babies continue to grow at this rate & I go full term, I could have two 7 to 8 lb babies....WOW!! That is 14-16 lbs of baby! As long as the babies are healthy, I will endure whatever it takes!! I will try & posts some ultrasound pics later today!

Sweet Poem

I wanted to share this poem from Rachel's blog (her blog is private so I didn't attach a link). It is really touching!! Rachel & her husband are 28 weeks pregnant with their first baby. Her blog has been very inspiring for me as they struggled with IF & were successful with their first IVF attempt.

A baby asked God,‘They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow,
but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?’
God said, ‘Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.’
The child further inquired, ‘But tell me, here in heaven I don’t have
to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.’
God said, ‘Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you.
And you will feel your angel’s love and be very happy.’
Again the child asked, ‘And how am I going to be able to understand
when people talk to me if I don’t know the language?’
God said, ‘Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and
sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care,
your angel will teach you how to speak.’
‘And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?’
God said, ‘Your angel will place your hands together
and will teach you how to pray.’
‘Who will protect me?’
God said, ‘Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.’
‘But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.’
God said, ‘Your angel will always talk to you about Me
and will teach you the way to come back to Me,
even though I will always be next to you.’
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven,
but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked,
‘God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.’

God said, ‘You will simply call her, ‘Mom.’

I have a busy week ahead so hopefully Sunday will be here before I know it!! Tomorrow I am shopping at the Growing Kids Sale & so excited to see what I find! I just wish I knew whether Baby B was a girl or a boy!! I may just have to buy a little of each!! :)
