2 1/2 Year Portraits

BeBe took our pictures on last Sunday night. IT.WAS.HOT and C&H weren't too cooperative, but somehow BeBe worked her magic and got some AMAZING shots! I don't know how she does what she does! Here are just a few 'sneak peeks' she sent me! I can't wait to see all of them!

MoMo's 30th Birthday Weekend!

This past Saturday Michael's sister, Mary, (aka MoMo) turned the BIG 3-0!! Our friend, Sarah, also was having a birthday on Saturday and their husbands rented a huge house boat on Lake Ouachita for the weekend and had a huge birthday bash! We all spent the day on the lake and C&H had so much fun! They went down the huge slide off the house boat with their Daddy and both tubed for the first time! Then they stayed at the condo with Meme and Grandmother that night while we went back out to celebrate the birthday girls! FUN, FUN, FUN!

C&H were up late on Friday night, up early on Saturday morning, and had no nap on Saturday! Needless to say they were both tired and cranky! This was on the ride home from being out on the lake all day...I tried to hold him, but he wouldn't let me! I was so afraid he was going to fall back wards and bust his head open! We were cracking up so much! He finally gave up and just laid down...that boat ride was just too much for him!

Happy Birthday MoMo and Sarah! We had so much fun celebrating your special day!

Wordless Wednesday: Napping in a BIG bed!

Say What? Wednesday

• Cooper has started telling me "Me Miss You Mommy" all the time. It is so stinking sweet! The other day I was out running errands and when I came back I picked him up and said, "I missed you Cooper" and gave him a kiss on the neck. He looked up at me and said, "Me missed you too Mommy" and gave me a kiss on the neck! I swear that boy just melts my heart!
• Hadley recently started asking me to 'leave alone me' when she goes #2. I can't blame her....who doesn't want their privacy! So I have to walk out of the bathroom and leave her alone for a second and she calls for me when she is done. So I decided to tell her when she needs to go potty to just go and to call me when she needs me. She is now pretty much goes on her own anytime she needs to go potty! Hallelujah! Cooper has now started telling me to leave him alone also. Poor kid has a hard time getting his pants down most of the time! Once he gets that down and he starts going on his own, I'll be one happy mama!! I am so proud of their potty successes! They have come a LONG way in the past 3 months!
• While camping this past weekend, she kept bringing me pine cones and telling me she was finding 'pineapples'!! Silly girl!
• I have started giving C&H warnings that it is almost time to do something. For instance, 5 more minutes until nap time or 2 more minutes until it's time to go. Lately, when that time is up and I say it's time to go 'night-night' or go bye-bye, Cooper usually throws a fit. He has started saying, "wait one minute Mama", or "not yet Mama" with one little finger pointed in the air!

Busy Weekend-Camping, Father's Day, Birthdays

This past weekend was SUPER busy, but so much fun! We left Friday night for a weekend of camping at Piney Bay. It was gorgeous, but HOT! My parents and my niece, Sophie, camped right next to us and we had a good ole' time! We swam, fished, and played cards!! Not only was Sunday Father's Day, it was my Dad's 66th birthday also! We celebrated Saturday night with a yummy meal of shish-kebobs and strawberry shortcake! We came home Sunday and went to Michael's parents house to celebrate Father's Day and his Grandmother's 90th birthday which was on Friday. We had pizza, cake, and homemade cobbler!

Our Swim Night at the Beshears!

One day last week, the Beshears invited us over for a cookout and swimming in their new pool! We had such a good time! Hadley really surprised me on not being scared in the water. She swam all over that pool and didn't want us to touch her! And her and Cooper both were putting their entire faces under the water! I was planning on waiting till next year to do swimming lessons, but I am reconsidering and just might do them this summer instead! Here are a few pics from our fun night...thanks guys!
