Baby Shower at Work 11-5-08

I had yet another wonderful baby shower today at my work. My coworkers threw a great shower today & I appreciate all of their hard work & generosity! I am so lucky to have such wonderful coworkers, friends, & family that have thrown me such wonderful showers! I never realized how much stuff you need when you have a baby...much less two babies!! Our house is shrinking by the second with all the stuff we are accumulating!! Here are some pics from today's shower!!!

We got many wonderful items including both of our swings!! I am so excited about them! Michael put them together tonight when we got home!!

Thanks again for such a wonderful day today!!

Little Rock Baby Shower

This weekend my two college roommates, Liz & Miranda, threw me a baby shower with some of my college friends at 'Mimi's Cafe' in Little Rock. It was such a great day & I am so glad I got to see my old friends...it brought back so many great memories!!! Thank you all for coming to help me celebrate these sweet babies! Thank you Liz & Miranda for all your hard work to get this together!! You all are too sweet!!

All my girlfriends at the shower

The precious diaper cakes & initials for table decorations!

And the precious & delicious cake!
Overall it was a great weekend with friends & family, but it was very hard on me. I'm not sure if it was the two & a half hour car or what, but this will be my last trip out of FS until the babies get here. My back hurt so badly & I was very uncomfortable all weekend. My swelling has increased & I haven't slept at all the past three nights. I am not sure how much longer I can continue to work all day! I have another appointment on Thursday and I plan on discussing how I have been feeling lately. We also have another 2 hr ultrasound...I am so ready to see the babies again!

Charlie is 2 & Cooper's Bedding is here!!!

This is my first child, Charlie! Yesterday was his birthday. Michael surprised me at Christmas 2 years ago with him, & I am not sure what I did without him!! Here is the little stinker tonight still wet from his bath!! Happy Birthday Charlie!!
Cooper's bedding came in on Friday night & I am so in love! What do you guys think???

Photo Shoot at 28 weeks

Isn't my sister the best??....Thank you so much MB...I love them!!! I will cherish these forever!!

So behind on blogging & totally exhausted...

I have been such a bad blogger lately because I have been extremely busy! I had a wonderful, non-stop & exhausting weekend, that I could bring myself to blog last night...I had to go to bed!! I did want to share a pic of the bib/burp cloth that I won last week from a blog giveaway from Stacy at The Fancy Fritter. Thank you so much Stacy...they are precious!!

I went to 'Dinner with TLC' again on Friday night, had a Birthing class at the hospital on Saturday all day, had church and a church baby shower on Sunday, followed by my 28 week maternity shoot & we also recieved Cooper's crib bedding on Friday night, so I need to get caught up on my blogs! I hit 28 weeks yesterday...I can't believe how fast this is going! Here is a pic of twins at 28 weeks!

27 week belly picture

This is a little late...it was actually taken at 27 weeks & 1 day but I am just now posting since my computer was acting up last night! This pregnancy is really starting to take it's toll on me! I am getting so exhausted so easily these days & my upper back is killing me!! Sitting at a desk all day wouldn't seem like it should bother you, but it is really hard on me these days!! I think it is due to my 'not-so-good' posture & having all this weight in my belly!! I am starting to swell too which is such a lovely sight...soon, I won't have any ankles!!! I feel like all I do is complain these days, but I wouldn't change anything right now...this pregnancy is such a blessing!!

National Infertility Awareness Week

October 19-25, 2008 is National Infertility Awareness Week - A movement to raise awareness about the disease of infertility which affects 7.3 million Americans. It affects 10% of the population & chances are someone you work with, go to church with, etc. is struggling with infertility and you don't even know it. The greatest thing you can offer is support. Take a moment to visit the resolve website if you have time. There is information for those struggling and their friends and family.

Even though we aren't struggling with infertility anymore, it still weighs very heavy on my heart! After 4 years of disappointment & the unknown, it is hard to forget the defeated, helpless, & lonely feelings that go along with it. This blog was such a blessing while dealing with infertility once I found all the other women out there in my same position! I am praying for all of you out there dealing with IF & I pray that God will bless you soon with a baby of your own whether it be, biological or through adoption. HE has a 'perfect plan' for each & every one of us and always remember: 'The Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you'.

I 'heart' GERBER!!

I was recently invited to attend the Gerber Mothers-to-Be Banquet that was this morning. One of my friends' husband works at Gerber & asked if I would be interested in going. She said it was unbelievable what all they gave away & I gladly accepted the offer to go. There were about 225 soon-to-be mothers or brand new mothers there (one lady actually started having contractions while we were eating lunch & left for the hospital). It was overwhelming how giving this company is!!! Everyone walked away with a door prize, which I won a changing table organizer...yeah! I am not complaining at all but that was probably one of the smallest gifts they gave away...they had playpens, high chairs, basinets, strollers, bouncers, car seats overflowing with toys & clothes & diapers. It was unbelievable!!! But not counting the door prizes, look how much stuff each person went home with!!! Granted, I got double since I am having two babies, but still...look at all the goodies I got!!
Sippy cups...organic baby food...onesies...

juice...cereal...Gerber Graduates...more baby food...books...blankets...towels...

spoons...pacifiers...bottles...nipples...
and all this bath stuff from baby shampoo...baby wash...baby lotion...washcloths...bath toys!!!! It was unbelievable! Thank you so much Sara & Reagan for inviting me to this wonderful event!!
